About me - Private ski instructor from Galtür.
My name is Nikolaus Raggl, born in 1968. My wife Susanne and I have two children: Jonathan, born 2007 and Sarah, born 2009. I grew up on our farm, in the mountains, with a view over the Jamtal glacier and just a short walk from the village. After qualifying as a carpenter in 1990 I began my career as a Ski Instructor. As a 'Children's Ski Instructor' I was able to facilitate an introduction to skiing, which is characterised by enjoying the snow and embracing skiing, so that they learn the ski technique, without realising that they are doing so.
With my education and advanced training:
- 1994 as Cross Country Ski Instructor
- 1996 as Snowboard Instructor
- 1997 as Public Ski Instructor and Ski Guide and
- 2005 as Adaptive Ski Instructor
Every year the range of lessons I offer has extended. In recent years I was primarily a private Ski Instructor because my approach is personality-orientated.
In 1999 I began to train as a massage therapist. Now qualified, I have my own massage studio. These two careers: Ski instructor and massage therapist, complement each other due to the knowledge required of the body and muskuloskeletal system.
